Stream-Wiser helps you pay only for the streaming services you're actually watching, and stop paying for the ones you aren't.
Why we built it
Most households now pay for several streaming services at once, but few people watch all of them every month. Shows move between services, prices go up every year, and perks from phone plans and credit cards are easy to forget. The result is that people keep paying for subscriptions they rarely open.
Stream-Wiser is an independent site that fixes this. You tell it what you want to watch, and it works out which services you need and when, so you can subscribe, binge and cancel on a schedule instead of paying for everything all year.
What you'll find here
- The optimizer builds a 12-month subscription plan from your watchlist, showing which services to keep, which to pause, and how much you'll save.
- The bundle calculator compares the cost of buying services separately, in official bundles, or with ads.
- The price tracker lists current monthly prices for major U.S. streaming services and plans.
- Guides explain how rotation works, which free services are worth using, and which phone, internet and credit card perks include streaming.
The tools are free to use. Movie and show information comes from TMDB.
How we keep our information accurate
Stream-Wiser's advice affects real money, so we take accuracy seriously:
- Prices are checked against each provider's own pricing pages, and every guide shows when it was last updated.
- Perks from phone carriers, internet providers and credit cards are re-checked roughly once a month. When terms change, a person reviews the change before anything on the site is updated.
- Reader corrections are welcome. When someone tells us a perk or price has changed, we verify it and update the affected pages. If you spot something out of date, please let us know.
How Stream-Wiser makes money
Stream-Wiser is supported in two ways:
- Advertising. Our blog pages may show clearly labeled ads served by Google. The optimizer and the calculator don't show ads.
- Affiliate links. Some links to streaming services are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed on the page and never change what we recommend: the optimizer's plan is based only on your watchlist and the services' prices.
